The Summit Lament

The eternal quest for the wisdom of The Great Marmot brings me to the pinnacle of another sublime mountain. As I rest here at the summit, I am privileged to be looking out from one of the many sacred mountain tops where The Great Marmot comes to oversee his vast wilderness domain. The Great Marmot relentlessly traverses the high summits & ridges of our planet, looking, listening, & feeling the wonders of the pure wild world all around. The crystal blues skies, cascading torrents of snowmelt, fragrant summer blossoms of grassy green meadows, mountain lakes shimmering in the sun & the sensuous fronds of wispy cirrus clouds that adorn the sky. We thus rejoice in the wilderness that surrounds us.

Let us live in harmony with the universe, nature, the environment & all our fellow earthlings of all species. Look upon the transcendent wilderness beauty below & remember: That which you destroy will be your ultimate demise; That which you love & protect will be your ultimate security.
